The Nikon Coolpix series is a solid bunch of cameras.  I have one at the office and while it’s a little old school now being a 5mp with a 1.5 inch LCD, it is still a tank and takes really fantastic images.  It’s a nice go-between for people who want better quality than a thin point and shoot but don’t want to go for a big DSLR.  At 10.3 mp it will take some pretty large pictures but the best feature of all is its FULL 1080P video mode.  Yes, I said it FULL 1080P video mode at 30fps.  It also has a 3 inch LCD with an amazing 26x wide-angle optical zoom.  A fantastic deal at $399 and while it isn’t available yet, it should be out soon but screw it – PRE ORDER BABY!
