I just found this as a banner ad on my site to be honest and I had to know what it did.  It combines a midi sequencer and a groove box into one simple Maschine.  So lets say you want to control your recording interface with it: done.  You want to use your own samples or on board ones to make your tracks: done.  This really does make a great go between for doing both so you don’t have the confusion of working with a different interface for each.  Features step sequencing, real-time recording, note repeat, slicing, and auto-mapping for intuitive jamming.  20 on board effects and 5GB of studio quality sounds make this one powerful beast.
