I can think of so many hilarious situations in which to use this to torment and / or freak people out with this flying sphere.  It weighs only 350 grams, 42 cm in diameter, can be made using household equipment and is about $1,400 to make.  The goal is to use for reconnaissance or rescue missions and to get in to hard to reach places where other crafts can’t.  Christmas gift?

The new iPhone 4S came out this past Friday and I took a video while unboxing it and put it up on YouTube.  I spent a while searching for music till I just found the most innocuous thing I could (no country, no trance – promise).  

It has been great so far – the dual-core A5 chip is amazing and the camera quality at 8MP is really good – haven’t really tested out the video – only a quick one in low light but it is smooth.  I started testing out Siri – asking it stupid questions as I’m sure everyone did. It responds well to normal speech but when I talked slowly to clarify something – it got it really wrong. Still seems like there will be a lot to come to utilize the technology – making speech recognition truly part of the phones every activity.

Overall compared to 2 Android phones, the iPhone 4S is really slick. The HTC EVO was nice, the processor was plenty but the 4S is crazy quick and the quality of the display and graphics on games is awesome. Even if Apply disappointed by not releasing an iPhone 5, until Google releases their next phone, this processor/phone is the one to beat…again.

Vintage bikes are quite en vogue now days and I thought this was a great representation of one that truly deserves envy.  How hot would this bike be now if you could ride this priceless piece of German engineering around your hood?  In 1934 it was made as a prototype and then packed away, only 70% complete until 2005.  Now you can see it here in all it’s awesome, sexy glory

So you have seen black rims, and black rims with a silver lip but powdercoat black with a black lip and silver face?  They look cool but I did have a consideration in the back of my mind of “OK, how often am I going to have to scrub in conspicuous yet hard to reach places to make these look clean.”  These seem pretty easy to care for but maybe I’ll do an update once I find out for sure.
