As you might have guessed, I like shoes, and if you have seen this blog for a while you know that I hate Crocs. Well this absolutely solves the problem! The RS100 Injex are made from an injectable foam that leaves absolutely no waste, so they are eco friendly, fine to wear without socks like a hippy, and are wayyyy better looking than a pair of ugly ass Crocs. The only problem is that I CAN’T FIND THESE ANYWHERE! Google shopping, Zappos, Amazon, I mean – I really tried so that I could like you to these great cheap (only$35) shoes but the last place I found them were on sale at Puma’s online shop (However, they only have a 4 and a 5 in Mens in a green color left and unfortunately, that isn’t going to fit a lot of people – I don’t know – buy them for your kids so they can make fun of the other kids with Crocs!)

I get it, you buy a pair of these ugly shoes and a kid in a foreign country gets a pair of ugly shoes too. You know what matters though, I care about what I put on my feet and I wouldn’t want to subject a child to the foot torture they would surely endure from wearing these pseudo hippie mocks. These shoes suck; they are moccasins that are too casual for Native Americans and have about as much padding as a Tampax insole in your 10 year old Birkenstocks. How about, I spend the money to donate my lightly worn good shoes and buy a pair of shoes that look/feel good? Deal.

Puma Black Label

Puma makes some cool stuff and is pretty edgy with their styling but if you are looking for something that is really different, Black Label is the way to go. The designers they work with really do jack up the price on a lot of their shoes but they also make them cooler than anyone else’s shoes. Since I have that GILT Man membership (which again is free) they sent me a whole list of awesome shoes, heavily discounted and even ones designed by the late Alexander McQueen (pictured Alexander McQueen Inbounds Low Sneakers). I want them all…

Crocks have never been a fashion statement, they have always been an intentional withdrawal from anything resembling fashion. It’s basically the point where you give up and you start wearing sweatpants and the college sweatshirt you never graduated from. It’s the exact moment that your sex life ends and you start to eat the calorically impossible (i.e. – pancake wrapped sausage or bacon chocolate). I urge everyone who owns Crocks to dispose of them immediately and check yourself in to rehab because your life has never been lower than this.

I always like posting stuff that I really believe in as an advancement in technology. People have been lauding the positive effects of barefoot living for a while now and because people didn’t really have the ability to do this without hurting the hell out of their feet in most cases, it was kind of hard to buy into. Vibram has changed that by creating a new skin for your foot. With a thin rubbery sole and a water mock like top, its really the closest you are going to get to feeling like you are running/jogging/doing anything barefoot. I own a pair and while I have take some shit for it, I really get a lot of complements and “where did you get those too.” I run regularly and these are a real dream to run in after you have built up your calf muscle a little (I’m not kidding about this – the guy at the store warned me too). But really, I highly encourage you to try these and not the latest Nike bullshit.

Puma El Rey Manga

I first saw the title and thought, this will look ridiculous. Instead, these are possibly the coolest thing done with manga (Japanese comics) since…Akira. Now I’m not an expert on it but you can even see the shine bubble at the front of the shoe – that’s awesome. It does look like this thing would be drawn on your foot and you would have to be blasting through something with your eyebrows cocked and a sweat bead and little lines of excitement coming off your face but keep cool, it’s just a shoe.

These are literally the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. I love skate shoes cuz they are big, well padded and always have great style to them. I esp like these (pictured), and the black with pinstripe because they take a new approach on a loafer but still retain the big body skate shoe appeal.
