This is a real slap in the face to the One Laptop Per Child program. At a price point of only $80 with a real operating system (Windows CE 5.0), this beats the hell out of that $199 OLPC laptop. In fact, I could buy one, ship it myself across the world to one little child, save a few dollars for me AND avoid admin costs through OLPC. I’m not saying don’t donate to OLPC or think they aren’t doing a good job, I’m just blown away by having a laptop available at a retail level for only $80.
